February 20, 2026We have been alerted to scams involving the impersonation of SoFi leaders on social media and messaging platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
These impersonators typically reference an “investment club” or provide unsolicited stock tips, claiming to be one of the members of SoFi’s leadership team.
This is a scam. SoFi and its employees will never contact you unexpectedly for money, personal information, or investment advice through text, social media, or messaging apps. SoFi is not associated with the impersonators in any way.
SoFi takes the privacy and security of our members very seriously. We maintain industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality and integrity of your data.
Always be cautious when clicking unknown links or receiving unexpected messages, especially those creating a false sense of urgency or pressuring you to act immediately. Before taking any action, verify the sender through official SoFi channels to make sure the communication is legitimate.
